Personal pilates workouts to help you move better.

Why Pilates?

Pilates is one of those rare movement practices that respects your body while radically transforming it. Rather than focusing on sheer exhaustion or lifting heavy weights, it targets the deep stabilizing muscles—especially your core—that support your spine and joints. By emphasizing precise, controlled movements aligned with your breath, Pilates corrects postural imbalances, decompresses the spine, and builds a long, lean strength. It’s an exercise system that meets you exactly where you are, whether you are looking to move without pain, recover from an injury, or elevate your athletic performance.

You don't just leave a session with stronger muscles; you walk away with improved flexibility, better balance, and a heightened mind-body connection that carries over into your daily life.

Welcome to my studio!

I'm Beth Walenta. My pilates  journey started 30 years ago in NYC at a classical pilates studio-I needed  strength and stamina to support hours a day of practicing viola to earn my performance degree from the Juilliard School. As a professional violist with a 21-year career in the Army Band, I have spent decades navigating the repetitive strain of performance and the unique challenges of hyper mobility. Pilates helped me come back from a debilitating neurological injury. For me, pilates became the essential tool for building the functional strength and symmetry required to sustain a high-level career and later to heal from injury.

Now a Balanced Body Comprehensive trainee, I have spent over 500 hours taking lessons, classes, and teaching. I translate my deep understanding of “stabilizing the stretch” into my teaching . I specialize in helping clients find their own center—focusing on injury prevention and sustainable movement that protects the joints while building power.

Studio is located near the East Falls Church Metro.
